Located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Deming & Co. specializes in exact reproductions and commissions of early american furniture.
Before founding the company, the owner and craftsman, John Deming spent over 12 years studying 18th century cabinet, chair and clockmaking with renowned cabinetmaker Eugene Landon at Olde Mill Cabinet Shoppe. During those 12 years John developed his carving skills, learned the exacting details behind 18th century methods of construction, the use of antique planes, and finishes that are required to reproduce and recreate masterpieces of the past. In addition, John also spent a year traveling from Pennsylvania to New Hampshire to learn the art of windsor chairmaking from Michael Dunbar. The painted surfaces found on some the company's country pieces and windsor chairs can be attributed to those techniques learned from Eli Rios.
